Pure water – no chemicals

Pure water is another key element of health.  To be healthy, it is extremely important to stay hydrated.  Approximately 70% of our planet is covered by water.  This percentage of water is also commonly found in plants and animals and is required in our own body.  To enjoy optimum health, we must maintain our body’s hydration at 70-80%.  Water is required throughout our body for virtually everything: blood volume, nutrition, digestion, elimination, temperature control, etc.  A lack of proper hydration has been linked to a variety of diseases and weaknesses in the body.

It is important to understand that the body needs pure water, not some chemical brew that comes out of the faucet or is found in some purified bottled water.  Water from the faucet is not pure water.  It has been treated with a host of unhealthy chemicals to kill bacteria.  In addition to added chemicals, municipal water can contain harmful chemicals that have seeped into the ground water from industrial operations.  A simple Internet search on your city or county’s water quality usually provides a detailed analysis of the composition of your tap water.  If you use well water, you can request an analysis of your water through the government agency that deals with water quality in your region.
